説明

After three years of a barren marriage, Vivienne finally conceives the Alpha heir—a miracle. But her joy shatters when, on the same day, she finds her husband, Alpha Adrian, at the same clinic with another woman, whose belly also supposedly carries his child.

Faced with his lies and his family’s cruel plot to replace her, Vivienne is left with no choice. They call her child worthless, a weak human-born spare. Betrayed and heartbroken after a brutal imprisonment almost claims her and her baby’s life, she vanishes.

But her child is no spare. He is the true heir of a legendary, forgotten bloodline—a king destined to rule. When she returns, she is no longer the powerless human they cast aside. She is a queen, armed with the truth and a power they fear.

Now, the Alpha who broke her is ready to burn down the world for a second chance. But the woman he finds is not the one he lost, and this time, she is the one making the rules.

エピソード1

Vivienne Hart pressed her palm flat against the cold glass of the examination room window. The city below looked like any other Tuesday afternoon—cars moving, people walking, nobody knowing that inside this private clinic, a human woman had just done the impossible.

“Your HCG levels are… unprecedented.” Dr. Helena Vale tapped her tablet, her sharp eyes scanning the data for the third time. “For a human-Luna bonded to an Alpha, natural conception is statistically near zero. But here you are.”

Vivienne turned from the window. “You’re sure? No mistake?”

Helena removed her glasses. “I’ve been your physician for four years. I’ve never seen anything like this. You’re approximately six weeks pregnant, and the fetal狼性 markers are already registering. This child—if it survives to term—could be the first human-born Alpha heir in a century.”

The words landed like stones in still water. Alpha heir.

For three years, Vivienne had heard that phrase whispered behind her back at every pack gathering. She can’t give him an heir. She’s human. The Blackthorne line will die with Adrian.

She had smiled through all of it. Poured tea for Octavia while the older woman made cutting remarks about “incompatible biology.” Stood beside Adrian at Council dinners while other Alphas looked at her like a pet that had learned to walk on two legs.

But now—

“Don’t tell anyone yet,” Vivienne said quickly. “Not even Adrian. I want to tell him myself. Tonight.”

Helena hesitated. “Vivienne, there’s something else. The timing of your pregnancy coincides with a confidential sample that came through my lab last week. Another woman’s test. Also positive. Also carrying狼性 markers.”

Vivienne’s fingers curled into her palm. “Who?”

“Patient confidentiality—”

“Helena.”

The doctor sighed. “The file was encrypted under Vane family credentials. I only saw it because the lab computer flagged two nearly identical genetic anomalies. Yours and hers.”

Celeste Vane. The name slid into Vivienne’s mind like a knife. Celeste was beautiful, wolf-born, and had been “just a family friend” for the past year. Adrian said she was helping with pack diplomacy. Octavia said she was appropriate company.

Vivienne had tried not to notice how Celeste always stood too close to Adrian at dinners. How she laughed at his jokes before he finished them. How Adrian never stepped back.

“I’m going to find my husband,” Vivienne said, buttoning her coat. “Thank you for the good news.”

She walked out of the exam room with her head high. The hallway smelled of antiseptic and expensive perfume. She passed the ultrasound wing, the blood draw station, the private suite where Council members sometimes came for discreet procedures.

And then she stopped.

Through the frosted glass door of Suite 7, she saw a man’s silhouette. Tall. Broad shoulders. Hair cut short in the military style Adrian had kept since his father died.

He was helping a blonde woman off the examination table. His hand rested on her lower back—a gesture so familiar it made Vivienne’s stomach cramp.

The woman turned her head. Celeste.

Vivienne’s breath caught. She pressed herself against the wall, heart hammering. No. It’s not him. It can’t be.

Then the man turned to reach for Celeste’s coat.

His profile was unmistakable. The sharp jaw. The way his brows drew together when he was focused. Adrian Blackthorne, Alpha of the largest pack on the Eastern seaboard, husband of three years, father of her unborn child.

Her child. Not Celeste’s.

The door to Suite 7 opened a crack. Celeste’s voice drifted out, honeyed and soft: “You don’t have to stay, Adrian. I know you’re busy. But the doctor said the first trimester is fragile. I get nervous.”

“I’ll stay.” Adrian’s voice. Low. Certain. “This is my responsibility.”

Responsibility. The word crushed Vivienne’s chest. She backed away, step by step, until she reached the stairwell. Then she ran.

Down three flights. Past the janitor’s closet. Out the service exit into the alley behind the clinic.

She vomited into a trash can.

When she straightened, her phone was buzzing. Adrian’s name lit the screen. She stared at it for six rings, then answered.

“Hey.” His voice was calm, almost tender. “How was your appointment? Helena said you had a routine checkup.”

Lie. Helena hadn’t told him anything. Vivienne had asked her to keep the pregnancy secret until she could surprise him.

Now the surprise felt like poison.

“It was fine,” Vivienne said. Her voice sounded strange, even to herself. “Where are you?”

A pause. “At the office. Going over border patrol reports. Why?”

Another lie. He was standing in a clinic suite with Celeste Vane, his hand on her back, promising to stay.

Vivienne looked up at the grey sky. “No reason. I’ll see you at home.”

“Vivienne.” Something in his tone shifted. “Are you okay?”

She wanted to scream. She wanted to ask him why. But she had learned, in three years of being the human Luna, that direct questions got her direct walls.

Adrian didn’t explain himself to her. He explained things at her.

“I’m fine,” she said. “Just tired.”

She hung up before he could respond.
