The Curse of Falling Star
简介
The Curse of Falling Star is an urban "marriage-before-love" romance steeped in fate.
Cold, domineering business heir Vedant Oberoi and gentle, resilient ordinary girl Arohi — haunted by old school scars — enter an arranged marriage in name only. What starts as a possessive tug-of-war blooms into real love: Vedant softens and learns to love openly, while Arohi heals and reclaims her dreams under his devotion.
When an old grudge resurfaces with a buried truth to tear them apart and threaten his empire, misunderstandings briefly divide them. Yet deep love unites them to fight side by side. A twenty-year-old childhood salvation twist reveals their lifelong mutual healing was always fated.
章節1
Hii Sweethearts,
In case you don't know, i have changed my pen name from Hazel to Ziara.
First of all, thank you so much for choosing to read this novel.
I started writing this novel on 26th December 2024.
It ended on 14 September 2025.
Recently, i unpublished the chapters to edit it in more presentable way.
From tomorrow, chapters will be updated everyday.
This is my first novel and i know my writing still has room to grow, one thing I can promise is that I would never write anything with the intention to hurt anyone's feelings.
This story was born from a place of healing, for all of us who have ever been scarred by society's beauty standards or constant comparisons.
That said, this novel may not be for everyone.
It will resonate most with those who have faced judgement for their skin tone or felt left behind because of it. If you are here just to criticize or misunderstand the intent, it's completely okay to walk away but please do so respectfully. Words can heal or hurt, and I hope we choose kindness over sarcasm.
Please keep these points in mind while reading:
1. No character, skin tone, or mindset is degraded to glorify another. Everyone is portrayed with purpose and reason.
2. Don't rush to judge the characters based on their first appearance. Remember, for you, it's your first time meeting them, for them, it's their normal routine in fictional world. Vedant, the male lead, lives by his own rules in the early chapters where he had no idea of female lead's existence. Give him a chance to reveal himself. Be patient then everything will start making sense in time.
4. Vedant struggles with anger issues but works on himself and changes. That's part of his journey.
5. I used a lot of metaphors in this story. For instance, in Chapter 18, I compared a 9-to-5 employee with a billionaire not to demean anyone, but to explore different struggles. Every situation is unique, and context matters. Remember lifestyle of family where there is only one person who earns is different from the one which has many people who earns.
6. Please don't bring purity comparisons here. "Virgins deserve virgins" is not a belief I support. In my story, people find what they are destined for, not what society dictates.
7. The female lead has lived through painful comparisons and emotional scars since childhood. If you don't understand her pain, that's fine but please don't label her as weak or dumb. She's healing, and that takes courage.
8. Vedant is a balance of dominance and gentleness. Every intimate moment between him and Arohi is consensual even when unspoken, her consent is always clear.
9. Please don't compare this novel with others or drop names of your favorites here. This story is uniquely mine, and I've already lived through enough comparison to know how it feels.
10. Arohi is both Rajput and Punjabi. that's possible since I am Punjabi from a Rajput family myself. People migrate and families evolve, and so did hers.
