Capítulo1

The spotlight was a hungry beast, and Liam Thorne had been feeding it his entire life. As the charismatic captain of Aura, the world’s biggest boy band, he owned every stage he stood on. Tonight, however, on the judging panel of the reality show Sound Surge, he wasn’t the one being watched. He was the one watching.

And his eyes were locked on one contestant: Leo.

The kid was a mystery. Slender, almost fragile, but with a fire in his eyes that burned brighter than the stage lights. He moved with a sharp, angular grace, his voice a surprising mix of raw power and haunting vulnerability. The audience was captivated. So was Liam.

"There's something about him," Liam murmured to the fellow judge beside him, his voice a low growl. "He's not just performing. He's surviving."

After the show, the backstage area was a chaotic whirlwind of crew and contestants. Liam cut through it all with a singular purpose. He found Leo packing his bag in a quiet corner, away from the jubilant crowds.

"You were electric tonight," Liam said, his presence instantly filling the small space.

Leo looked up, his eyes wide and guarded. They were the color of warm whiskey, shockingly beautiful. He gave a short, jerky nod. "Thanks."

"I'm Liam Thorne." As if the kid wouldn't know.

"I know who you are," Leo replied, his voice flat. He zipped up his bag and turned to leave.

Liam instinctively moved to block his path. "That's it? No fangirling? No asking for an autograph?"

Leo’s gaze was unnervingly direct. "I'm here to win, not to be a fan." He tried to sidestep, but Liam mirrored his movement. The air crackled with a strange tension.

"Everyone's a fan of something," Liam leaned in, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "What are you a fan of, Leo? What makes that cold little heart of yours beat faster?"

For a flicker of a second, something akin to panic flashed in Leo’s eyes. Then it was gone, replaced by a wall of ice. "My privacy."

He pushed past Liam, his shoulder brushing against Liam’s chest. The contact was fleeting, but it sent a jolt through Liam’s system. He watched Leo disappear down the corridor, a smirk playing on his lips. This was a challenge. And Liam Thorne never backed down from a challenge.
