Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 1, 2026
This SeaNova Privacy Policy (the "Policy") applies to the SeaNova application and related services. It explains how the SeaNova platform operator (the "Company," "we," or "us") collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects your personal information. Please read this Policy before using the Services. If you do not agree, please stop using them.
1. Personal Information Processing and Contact Us
Customer service email: support@seabell.com.
Intellectual property and legal matters: legal@seabell.com.
2. Information We Collect and How We Use It
2.1 Registration, login, and account management: SeaNova is connected to a unified account system and supports login with SeaArt, Google, Discord, Facebook, and email. When you use a third-party login, we receive, with your authorization, the account identifier, username, avatar, email address (if provided by the third party), and other information listed on the authorization page. We use this information to authenticate your identity, create or link your account, protect account security, and synchronize necessary entitlements. Email login may also require your email address and a verification code.
2.2 Device and log information: We may collect your device model, operating-system version, application version, language and time-zone settings, IP address, device identifiers (to the extent permitted by law), network information, crash logs, access times, and feature-operation logs. We use this information for login verification, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, statistical analysis, and service improvement.
2.3 Content and customer service: When you voluntarily upload images, text, audio or video, or submit feedback, complaints, or customer-service requests, we process the information necessary to provide the relevant function and resolve your request. Please do not upload another person-s identity documents, account passwords, financial information, or other sensitive information that should not be disclosed.
2.4 Payments and subscriptions (if applicable): If paid services are available, we receive from the payment channel the order number, product identifier, purchase status, subscription period, renewal status, and refund/cancellation information. We use this information to deliver paid-user entitlements, verify orders, and handle customer-service requests. Complete payment credentials and payment methods are processed by the payment channel. We do not collect or store complete bank-card numbers or payment passwords.
2.5 Permissions: Depending on the specific feature, we may request network, notification, storage/media, and other device permissions. Camera, microphone, photo, and file permissions are accessed only when you actively use the relevant feature and grant permission. You may disable permissions in your system settings; doing so may make the relevant feature unavailable.
2.6 We will not make your use of core functions conditional on the collection of unrelated information. If a new feature requires information not described in this Policy, we will explain it separately through an in-app notice, pop-up, or Policy update and obtain separate consent where required by law.
3. Processing Grounds and Protection of Minors
We process personal information on the grounds of performing the service contract, obtaining your consent, complying with legal obligations, protecting the public interest or legitimate rights and interests, and other lawful grounds. Users under eighteen must use the Services with the consent and guidance of a guardian. If we discover personal information of a minor collected without the guardian-s consent, we will delete it or take other protective measures after verification in accordance with law.
4. Sharing, Entrusted Processing, and Public Disclosure
4.1 We share personal information only as necessary to provide the Services, with authorization, to comply with legal obligations, or to protect security. Necessary service providers may include unified-account and identity-authentication providers, cloud infrastructure providers, crash-analytics providers, customer-service providers, push-notification providers, and Google Play billing service providers. We bind processors through contracts, access controls, and security measures and do not permit unrelated use of your information.
4.2 Google, Discord, Facebook, Google Play, and other third parties independently determine how they process personal information. Please review their privacy policies when using their services.
4.3 In a merger, acquisition, asset transfer, or similar transaction, we will notify you as required by law and require the recipient to remain bound by this Policy or obtain your authorization again. We will not publicly disclose your personal information unless required by law or with your explicit consent.
5. Storage, Cross-Border Transfers, and Retention
5.1 We retain personal information only for the shortest period necessary to achieve the processing purpose. Account information is generally retained while your account exists. After account cancellation, we will delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, except where laws and regulations, dispute resolution, security audits, or backup-destruction procedures require retention.
5.2 If personal information is provided across borders because of overseas accounts, cloud services, third-party login, or Google Play, we will complete applicable notice, separate-consent, assessment, or other procedures required by law and explain the recipient, purpose, information categories, and retention period. The actual cross-border recipients will be disclosed in the application or in an updated version of this Policy.
6. Information Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit and at rest, de-identification, log auditing, backups, vulnerability remediation, employee confidentiality obligations, and incident-response measures to protect personal information. If a security incident occurs, we will take remedial measures and notify you and the competent authorities as required by law.
7. Your Rights
To the extent permitted by law, you may access, copy, correct, supplement, or delete your personal information; withdraw consent; restrict or refuse processing; cancel your account; and request an explanation of the processing rules. You may submit a request through in-app settings or to the privacy email address. We generally process requests within fifteen working days and will explain the reason for any complex delay. We may conduct reasonable identity verification to protect account security.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Android application primarily uses local storage, device identifiers, and similar technologies to maintain login status, language preferences, and security information. We do not use cookies to read content in other applications or websites. You may manage non-essential personalization and analytics technologies (if enabled) through your system or application settings.
9. Third-Party Links and Services
The application may contain links to third-party websites, login pages, or services. Third parties are independently responsible for their information processing. We recommend that you read their privacy policies before using them.
10. Policy Changes
We may revise this Policy due to laws and regulations, regulatory requirements, product functions, or business changes. We will notify you of material changes through an in-app pop-up, announcement, or other prominent method and state the effective date. Where the law requires renewed consent, we will obtain it before continuing the relevant processing.
